COUNSELOR STUDENT II (ASSISTANT DIRECTOR FOR UPWARD BOUND) (4)

Responsibilities- Assist with the planning, coordination, and implementation of academic year and summer program services, including tutoring, mentoring, advising, cultural enrichment, and college readiness activities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with target high schools, administrators, counselors, and community partners to support recruitment and program delivery.
- Support the planning and execution of the annual summer residential program, including supervision of summer student staff and coordination of transportation, housing, meals, and classroom instruction.
- Provide academic, career, college, and financial aid advising to a caseload of Upward Bound participants.
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records and ensure regular communication with participants and families.
- Monitor academic progress and develop individualized action plans to support student achievement.
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with U.S. Department of Education guidelines.
- Assist with preparation of annual performance reports (APR), data tracking, and assessment of program outcomes.
- Utilize student information systems and other data tools to monitor student progress and program impact.
- Other duties as assigned.
Annual Salary: $43,890 - $56,451
Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Education or a related field and four (4) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
