The Islamic Academy of Alabama is seeking a passionate and dedicated
English Language Arts Teacher

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver standards-aligned English Language Arts instruction
• Teach reading comprehension, literature, writing, grammar, and vocabulary
• Develop engaging lesson plans and instructional activities
• Maintain a structured, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
• Assess student learning through various assessment tools and provide timely feedback
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
• Monitor and support student progress, communicating with parents and guardians as needed
• Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff
• Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or English (Master’s degree preferred)
• Valid state teaching certification in English Language Arts or eligibility to obtain
• Classroom experience strongly preferred
• Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills
• Proficiency with instructional technology and digital tools
• Commitment to supporting the mission and values of the Islamic Academy of Alabama

Pay: $30,000.00 – $45,000.00 per year
