Overview
Estimating Professional (Data Centers) e focuses on leading and providing technical estimating expertise for data center projects as part of the Advanced Manufacturing team.
Base pay$/yr - $/yr
Responsibilities- Lead and provide technical estimating expertise for Data Center projects; support overall proposal strategy and project requirements.
- Develop and execute strategy and plan for estimating activities; coordinate deliverables with project team members; provide guidance on project deliverables.
- Review and contribute to interpretation of RFPs or project contracts; identify risk areas and participate in mitigation planning.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced design and estimating personnel.
- Collaborate with Global Integrated Delivery teams and Advanced Manufacturing team to deliver cost-effective, transformative projects across industries including data centers, industrial, chemical, and pharmaceutical facilities.
- Minimum of ten years progressive experience in estimating or project management for industrial projects.
- Estimating and construction experience in Mechanical and Electrical disciplines in Data Centers.
- Experience with Cost-OS, Sage Estimating (Timberline) or similar estimating software.
- Understanding of estimating organization structure and process: quantity takeoff, crew development, productivity, material quotations, contingency/risk, markup, estimate documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, project management or related technical field.
- Experience in EV/Batteries or Specialty Chemicals markets.
- Proficient in quantitative risk analysis using @Risk and Monte Carlo; experience with Aspen CCE or other parametric tools.
- Active membership in AACE, PMI, or similar association.
This job opportunity is available at ANY location in the United States. Ideally, selected candidates will be near a Jacobs U.S. office, but we intend to hire the best candidates. This is a full-time role.
