We’re seeking a Senior-Level Drives Staff Engineer with deep expertise in coordinated AC/DC drive systems for industrial applications. This role will focus on developing and delivering drive system solutions—from concept through startup—in support of major pulp & paper projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and configure coordinated drive systems (motors, PLCs, power/control systems, harmonics).
Collaborate with drive manufacturers and equipment suppliers to determine NRL/RDC horsepower requirements and system architecture.
Integrate drive systems with plant DCS/PLC control systems.
Evaluate technical specs, bids, and vendor drawings.
Support project schedules, construction packages, FATs, and start-up.
Qualifications:
Degree in Electrical Engineering; P.E. license is a plus.
Strong knowledge of AC/DC drive systems and industrial applications.
Experience in the pulp & paper industry preferred.
