Drafter - Cad Piping Design

We're looking for a full-time CAD Piping Design Drafter to join our team. This is a great position for an individual interested in expanding their drafting career with a growing company! • Primarily prepare and revise 3-D models utilizing BIM software.
• Prepare and revise computer generated 2-D engineering drawings and 3-D models according to established standards and procedures in Autodesk Revit.
• Create and revise equipment layout, piping, instrumentation, mechanical, civil, structural, and architectural drawings and models.
• Create and revise drawings and models from sketches, plans, and written and verbal instructions.
• Utilize Redline system and verify all associated items are updated throughout the drawing set.
• Interface and communicate with project engineers, project managers, engineering contractors, other designers, and manufacturing staff as required.
• Provide input regarding company graphics, standards and procedures. Support development and documentation of design standards, user guides, and procedures to create uniform drawings and documentation.
• Perform engineering support tasks including plotting drawings, filing originals, and creating PDFs.
• Test updates or new versions of CAD/CAE tools for backward compatibility and new functionality.
• Other tasks and duties as assigned to support engineering and maintenance groups.

The ideal candidate will be organized, friendly, punctual, flexible, and thoroughly professional and have:

Experience:

• Associate's degree in computer aided drafting/design or related field. Previous relevant work experience can be used to substitute education requirements.
• 1-3 years of professional experience working with 2 or more of these CAD software packages:
  AutoCAD, Micro Station, Speedikon, COMOS or E3D Software. Preferably working in engineering and construction projects.
• Proficiency with Autodesk Revit modeling software.
• Ability to complete drafting assignments under minimal supervision.
• Basic user of Microsoft WORD, EXCEL and POWERPOINT required.
• Strong and effective communication skills in English (oral and writing).
• Ability to multi-task and professionally deal with changing priorities and requirements in a fast-paced environment.
