Position Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Field Supervisor with a dual focus:
deep technical expertise in rotary kilns, mills, and heavy process equipment – particularly within the cement and mineral processing industries – and strong business development capabilities to drive market growth, build trust‑based client relationships, and position Fives FCB as a partner of choice in the region. In this strategic role, you will not only oversee the successful execution of complex field repair projects, but also act as a technical ambassador, leveraging your industry insight, professional network, and credibility to identify business opportunities and expand our footprint in the U.S. market.

Responsibilities
  • Lead field service operations related to the inspection, maintenance and repair of rotary kilns, ball mills, and other heavy industrial equipment.
  • Conduct and interpret detailed mechanical inspections.
  • Troubleshoot complex mechanical failures and provide clients with expert recommendations for preventive or corrective maintenance.
  • Plan and oversee all aspects of project logistics, including scope definition, resource planning, subcontractor coordination, and safety compliance.
  • Supervise skilled field teams (mechanics, welders, technicians) ensuring project execution meets or exceeds technical standards, safety protocols, and client expectations.
  • Ensure all work complies with industry codes (e.g., ASME), OEM specifications, and regulatory requirements (OSHA, MSHA).
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor to clients, helping them understand the root causes of equipment inefficiencies and failures.
  • Deliver high‑value technical presentations and diagnostics that demonstrate our capability to extend equipment life, reduce downtime, and optimize performance.
  • Assist customers in developing maintenance strategies, CAPEX planning, and upgrade roadmaps based on inspection findings and operational risk.
  • Use your industry experience and network to proactively identify new business opportunities, potential partnerships, and service needs in the cement and mineral sectors.
  • Convert technical insights into commercial opportunities, such as long‑term service agreements, spare parts sales, and capital equipment upgrades.
  • Represent Fives FCB at trade shows, technical conferences, and customer meetings to promote our field service capabilities and technical leadership.
  • Contribute to market intelligence by monitoring competitor activity, emerging technologies, and customer trends.
  • Provide day‑to‑day supervision, coaching, and technical guidance to field personnel, ensuring a high level of professionalism and skill development.
  • Foster a strong safety culture and uphold Fives FCB values in all interactions, both internally and externally.
  • Serve as a mentor for junior field engineers and technicians, sharing knowledge on rotary kiln and mill diagnostics and repair techniques.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 7–10 years of hands‑on experience in field service, maintenance, and repair of rotary kilns, ball mills, and other pyro‑processing equipment, preferably in the cement, lime, or mineral processing industry.
  • Proven track record of supervising technical teams in complex, high‑risk field environments.
  • Strong mechanical understanding of heavy industrial equipment, with the ability to read technical drawings and perform data analysis.
  • Fluent in safety standards (OSHA, MSHA) and capable of enforcing safety protocols rigorously.
