We are seeking experienced A&P Mechanics to join our team supporting commercial aircraft operations. This role offers a long-term career path, competitive pay, and growth opportunities in a dynamic maintenance environment. Work includes scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, line support, and rapid-response AOG operations.
Military candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. Your rotary- or fixed-wing experience (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, National Guard) is highly valued, and A&P assistance programs may be available.
Key Responsibilities Hangar Maintenance- Perform heavy maintenance, modifications, and overhauls on commercial aircraft systems and structures
- Use technical manuals, schematics, and engineering data to complete accurate repairs
- Document all work in accordance with FAA regulations and company procedures
- Ensure compliance with Airworthiness Directives (ADs) and Service Bulletins
- Conduct pre‑flight, post‑flight, and turnaround inspections
- Troubleshoot and repair systems during active operations
- Perform component replacements and light repairs to keep aircraft in service
- Coordinate with flight crews and dispatch for real‑time updates
- Respond to urgent aircraft‑on‑ground (AOG) events
- Travel as needed to support remote maintenance and return aircraft to service quickly
- Work independently under time-sensitive conditions while communicating with maintenance control
- Required:
FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certification - Required:
3 years of aircraft maintenance experience (B737, A320, B747 or similar) - Strong knowledge of FAA regulations and aircraft systems
- Ability to interpret technical documentation and engineering drawings
- Proficient with hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and test instruments
- Flexible for travel, shifts, nights, and weekends as needed
- Experience in MRO environments and C/D checks
- Line maintenance and AOG response experience highly valued
- Hazardous material handling familiarity
- Ability to obtain airport SIDA badge
- Lift up to 25 lbs and perform overhead work
- Work at heights and in confined spaces
- Stand, kneel, and walk for extended periods

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Birmingham, AL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 – $45.00/hr.
