Overview
We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to provide technical support to our manufacturing teams, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety in all processes. This role involves establishing manufacturing procedures, collecting and analyzing data, troubleshooting issues, and developing effective solutions.
The Manufacturing Engineer will also manage documentation related to quality management systems, conduct internal and external audits, and lead training on quality and performance system tools. Additionally, this position will collaborate with various departments to address quality-related concerns and may be involved in the development and maintenance of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) projects.
The ideal candidate will work independently while maintaining strong communication and teamwork with departmental leadership.
Responsibilities• Establish manufacturing procedures and documentation.
• Collect, analyze, and troubleshoot manufacturing data to improve processes.
• Conduct internal and external audits of quality management systems.
• Lead training on quality and performance system tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality-related concerns.
• Participate in development and maintenance of MES projects.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an ABET EAC accredited program at a four-year college or university.
- Proof of degree required; a transcript or diploma acceptable and must be provided.
- Strong cooperation and teamwork skills.
- Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Access, and CAD.
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, specifications, and other technical documents.
- Willing and able to climb and work from high places.
- Basic working knowledge of machinery.
- Basic working knowledge of electricity and electrical circuits, especially as they apply to shop equipment operations.
- Availability for work during off hours, subject to need.
- Hands‑on, shop‑oriented engineering skills.
- Accurate record keeping of experiments and results.
- Technical paper writing and research summarization skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel on a moderate basis with minimal notice to discuss technical issues with customers.
- Electrical Engineer with graduate education or professional certification.
- Several years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Basic management skills.
- Experience applying Statistical Process Control (SPC).
- Knowledge of robotic integration and programming.
- Familiarity with AMERICAN's manufacturing processes and products.
- Advanced knowledge of control systems and automated control systems (PLCs).
- Experience with root cause analysis, CAPA, management of change, risk assessment, audits, and document control.
- Current Professional Engineering License or Engineer‑In‑Training Certification.
