Environmental Professional​/Geologist

The following are required, but not limited to, for the position:

• Primarily involved with preparation of geotechnical reports, including analysis, and recommendations with a strong commitment to meet project deadlines
• Prepare drilling packages and obtain utility clearances
• Perform research on local geologic history
• Supervise field work performed by drilling/test pit crews and assist with rig access issues
• Log geotechnical borings and collect samples for laboratory testing
• Classify soil and assign laboratory testing
• Be proficient in reading and understanding construction plans and specifications
• Conduct laboratory analysis of soils according to specified methods and standards

Skills and Qualifications

• Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in Geological Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Geology with the ability of achieving a professional licensure. Candidates with a master’s degree or MBA are a plus.
• EIT certification or ability to take the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam within six months is required.
• 3+ years of geotechnical and construction experience is preferred.
• Candidates with strong communication skills (written and oral), demonstrated managerial and project management experience, and ability to develop and manage positive client relationships are preferred.
• Physical activities including walking through uneven, difficult terrain, long spans of standing, and ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Up to 25% overnight travel should be anticipated.
