Event & Meeting Manager - 6 month contract

$30 per hour

Our client is seeking an experienced Event & Meeting Manager to oversee the planning and execution of meetings, conferences, incentive trips, and large-scale events. This role will manage vendors, budgets, contracts, logistics, marketing support, and onsite event execution while partnering with internal teams, customers, and senior leadership.

• Manage events from planning through post-event reporting
• Coordinate venues, vendors, contracts, budgets, timelines, and logistics
• Negotiate vendor contracts and manage vendor relationships
• Coordinate speakers, entertainment, food & beverage, AV, transportation, and promotional materials
• Partner with Sales, Marketing, leadership, customers, and vendors to ensure successful events
• Manage onsite event execution and resolve issues as needed
• Conduct post-event surveys and recommend process improvements
• Travel approximately 25% for site visits and event management

• 8+ years of event and meeting management experience
• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered
• Proven experience managing large-scale events and incentive trips
• Contract negotiation and vendor management experience
• Experience with event planning software and budget management
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Ability to travel as needed
• FICP membership preferred
