After the initial three-month training course, Analysts in this track will continue their development by rotating with various Treasury Management teams, including the Treasury Support & Service Team, the Implementation Team, and the Sales Team. Upon completion of the program, Analysts will understand Cadence Treasury Management Products, including key features and objectives, and the process of implementing new Treasury Management solutions.
They will also develop sales strategies, such as TM reviews and account analysis.
The role involves analyzing and underwriting credit decisions submitted by various lines of business within the bank. Responsibilities include performing financial and statistical analysis to assess creditworthiness, compiling analysis reports, and documenting the process for review and approval. Key tasks include obtaining and analyzing financial and credit data, completing cash flow, liquidity, and leverage analyses, and assessing the strengths and weaknesses of loan requests.
Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures when preparing analysis, reports, and presentations for management, including accurate financial statements, prudent projections, and clear documentation of merits, risks, and mitigation strategies. Conduct research on financial data, industry trends, and management assessments to support credit decisions.
Assist senior team members and commercial bankers in screening loan packages and interacting with other departments within the bank such as Treasury Management, Wealth Management, and Trust. May also interact with customers and accountants. Strive to minimize turnaround time while maintaining thorough documentation. Participate in training courses as requested.
Required Skills:
- GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Minimum of 9 hours of accounting coursework
- Strong technical and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated leadership through extracurricular activities and internship/work experience
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge of credit risk analysis and underwriting principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel, and other database systems
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
