Commercial Real Estate Loan Specialist II

The responsibilities of this job is to provide technical expertise and assistance in all aspects of moving loan applications through the real estate loan process to successful closing and provide assistance with portfolio management after the loans are closed.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all activities required to move a commercial real estate loan from approval through closing. This includes uploading documents, reviewing and assembling loan packages, completing requirements for delivery to loan operations, coordinating closing activities, loan booking and ensuring collateral perfection.
• Evaluates whether loan documents are sufficient for closing or if follow-up actions are required, identifies any compliance deficiencies, and prioritizes closing and servicing activities based on risk, customer impact and deadlines.
• Support post-closing activities such as amendments, modifications, draw requests, insurance follow-ups, exception tracking and payment processing.
• Provide administrative support to lenders and managers to maximize customer engagement and sales activity.
• Deliver customer service and identify referral opportunities across banking divisions.
• Open deposit accounts and process NSF items as needed
• Associates are expected to perform all additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent job-related experience (including documentation, customer contact, loan closing, etc.).
• 2 years knowledge of commercial real estate collateral, security documentation, lien perfection requirements, and loan compliance regulations.
• Retail Bank knowledge including product knowledge and sales skills
• Interpersonal Skills
• Organizational Skills
• Communication Skills – verbal and written
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Knowledge of bank policies, procedures, and commercial loan software preferred
• Knowledge of commercial real estate loan documentation preferred

Physical Requirements &

Working Conditions:

Must be able to sit for long periods of time and use computer keyboard and/or mouse requiring hand and wrist manipulation, while viewing computer screens.
