Position Overview

Joining our radiology team at UAB Medicine positions you to work with some of health care’s most innovative minds, to help move the practice of medical imaging forward. Our CT, MRI, X-Ray, and ultrasound technologists shape the future of medical imaging and patient care at our adult Level I Trauma Center, where we care for the most acute patients in the region.

The work location for this position is UAB Hospital-Leeds Outpatient Imaging and Laboratory, located adjacent to UAB Medicine Leeds and ranked among the top 2% nationally for overall patient satisfaction.

To perform computerized axial tomography exams of various anatomical regions of the patient's body. Under the direction of a radiologist, to perform radiological procedures (MRI, CT) at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. To perform a variety of technical procedures.

• Graduate from an accredited School of Radiology (required)
• Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement
• Currently registered as a Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) (R) with ARRT
• Candidate will have one (1) year from hire date to become registered in Computed Tomography (CT) from ARRT
• Or certified as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) (required)
