Job Function / Purpose

The Senior Human Resources Business Partner leads the delivery of comprehensive HR services for Inframark's Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Division, providing strategic and operational support to employees and leadership across an assigned region in the Southeast United States.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to management on key human resources matters, including employment law, employee relations, succession planning, staffing, performance management, compliance, HR systems, and workforce development.
  • Facilitates and/or develops programs that will bolster talent acquisition and development, including internship/apprenticeships, school/community partnerships, military and diversity recruiting, training and professional certification programs, career development, and others.
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with employees at all levels by providing guidance on company policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), performance management, attendance and absence management, and employee relations.
  • Interpret, communicate and ensure consistent application of company policies and SOPs. Investigates and address policy violations as appropriate.
  • Conduct employee relations investigations and support dispute resolution between employees and/or management; partner with leaders to administer progressive discipline when necessary.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support and execute major organizational changes, including acquisitions, divestitures, workforce reductions, and organizational restructuring.
  • Provide support to HR team members on a wide range of general human resources matters.
  • Works with HRIS to ensure data accuracy and integrity throughout the employee lifecycle.
  • Apply working knowledge of unionized environments and collective bargaining considerations.
  • Demonstrate understanding of prevailing wage laws and compliance requirements.
  • Effectively support and communicate with employees ranging from field-based hourly staff to senior-level leaders.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Education, Experience and Skills

Education/Experience : BA/BS in Human Resources, Management or related degree preferred. 10 years of experience in a Human Resources generalist role.

Licenses/Certifications :
Valid Driver's License. SPHR or SHRM-CP Certification preferred.

Technical :
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and HRIS systems. Ability to identify and use recruiting and employee development best practices. Demonstrates advanced knowledge of general HR practices and technology. Knowledge of common HR requirements (e.g., EEO, prevailing wage, etc.) for federal contractors a plus.

Communication :
Communicates clearly & professionally. Contributes to a positive internal & external customer experience. Maintains composure in challenging situations. Collaborates with others. Asks for constructive feedback. Communicates detailed information.

Pays attention to detail. Identifies & solves complex issues. Escalates issues accordingly;

Physical Demands

The work environment is characteristic of an office environment: sitting, standing, walking, bending and lifting are required to perform job responsibilities. The employee must occasionally lift and move up to 20 lbs.

Travel

Up to 30% travel.
