Temporary Senior Associate, Open Shift Engineer
Apply to join KPMG US as a Temporary Senior Associate, Open Shift Engineer for a twelve‑month assignment in the Digital Nexus technology organization.
Responsibilities- Provide expert‑level technical support to application teams using the Open Shift platform; troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Open Shift virtualization or other virtualization platforms.
- Work closely with application teams to understand requirements and recommend optimizations for Open Shift deployment.
- Maintain deep technical knowledge of industry directions and trends.
- Collaborate with operations and middleware teams to resolve issues; participate in on‑call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical incidents.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and best practices; contribute to automation tools and scripts to improve support processes.
- Mentor and train other support engineers to enhance their Open Shift skills.
- Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful work environment.
- Minimum three years of recent experience managing medium‑ to large‑scale container platforms and providing technical support for enterprise applications.
- Preferable bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Hands‑on experience with Open Shift (installation, configuration, troubleshooting) and strong understanding of containerization and Kubernetes; demonstrated ability to engineer CI/CD processes using tools such as Git Hub Actions or Jenkins.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Shell, Bash, Python, Power Shell) and familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM). Software development language experience is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication, problem‑solving, and analytical skills; proven ability to collaborate effectively with clients, IT management, and team members.
- Detail‑oriented and thorough, with excellent technical writing and mentoring ability.
