Job Description

Under general supervision from Manager and Systems Analyst III, the Systems Analyst-ENT is responsible for successfully executing a diverse range of telecommunications projects related to Cisco VoIP, Avaya Cloud, Avaya Red, Avaya Blue, and Avaya IP Office system deployment and on-going maintenance. Independent judgement and decision-making skills are required.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Consult with users to determine most effective configurations to meet both their real and perceived VoIP requirements.
  • Conduct on-site surveys for additional services needed and changes of VoIP services. Maintain files within shared file system so others can review as needed.
  • Assist customers with routine questions. With assistance, provide cost estimates for various types of equipment and monthly charges that may apply.
  • Configure, install, maintain and repair fax lines, credit card machine lines.
  • Configure, install, maintain and repair Cisco 7900 and 8800 series telephones.
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed, travel locally as needed, work on-call as needed and perform other related duties as required.
  • Respond to user complaints to resolve problems associated with Tier I VoIP related issues throughout the Hospital and clinics to include the following:
  • Replace VoIP phones
  • Create Voice Mail and Reset Voice Mail Passwords
  • Update Caller  specified lines
  • Install and troubleshoot wired and wireless headsets which connect to VoIP phones
  • Keep accurate count of all VoIP inventory
  • RMA VoIP equipment if applicable
  • Uses incident management database (Cherwell) to monitor queue, document, and track and provide assistance for user requests and/or resolution.
  • Works closely with VoIP engineers on tasks related to VoIP projects to include the following tasks:
  • Program Finesse
  • Install Phones
  • Install wired and wireless headsets which connect to VoIP phones
  • Connect cables, run jumps from VG310/VG450/Audio Code analog gateway voice patch panel to data patch panel or 66/110 blocks.
Qualifications

Associate's degree in Information Systems or a related field and four (4) years of related experience required. Work experience may substitute for education requirement.

Preferred
  • Directly related experience supporting Cisco VoIP systems
  • Experience working with Cisco Unified Call Manager (minimum version 11.x)
  • Experience working with Cisco Unity Connect (minimum version 11.x)
  • Experience installing and maintaining Cisco 7900 and 8800 Series telephones
  • Ability to punch down cross connects on either 66 blocks or 110 blocks
  • Ability to tone cables using a toner/probe
  • Must be a highly detailed individual requiring some supervision.
  • Customer Service background CCM 11.x or higher certification
  • Unity Connection 11.x or higher certification
  • UCCX 11.x or higher certification
  • Windows certification
