At Regions, the Data and Analytics Manager leads a team of analysts responsible for accurate data collection, processing, modeling and analysis. This role will drive strategy by presenting data-driven insights to executive and non-technical audiences.
Primary Responsibilities- Manages the processes of modifying and transforming highly-complex data into a format that is valuable, readable, and presentable
- Leads and executes cross-functional projects using advanced data analysis techniques to discover insights that will drive strategic decisions and efficiencies
- Prepares complex information and makes presentations to various audiences including executives, senior and mid-level managers and associates
- Manages the design and delivery of complex reports that analyze business functions, key operations and performance metrics, and trends impacting the company to determine appropriate action
- Oversees the requests process for data analysis through tracking requests submitted, prioritization, approval, etc.
- Identifies trends and seeks opportunities for continuous improvement
- Offers guidance on occasion to junior managers in handling advanced and complex tasks and projects
- Performs general management duties to include recruiting, training, developing and supervising analyst-level employees
- Master’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Statistics, or related field and eight (8) years of experience in a data analytics or related role of which three (3) years must be in a supervisory/managerial role
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Statistics, or related field and ten (10) years of experience in a data analytics or related role of which three (3) years must be in a supervisory/managerial role
- Prior experience utilizing analytical software such as Structured Query Language (SQL), Statistical Analysis System (SAS), SAS Enterprise Miner, and applicable Microsoft Office applications
- Advanced knowledge of business intelligence software (e.g. Tableau, Power BI)
- Ability to supervise and manage a team
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills
- Strong work ethic and self-motivation
Job Description
- Experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, Dashboarding and Data product ownership
- Familiarity with Modeling Methodologies, Model Risk and Data Governance Frameworks
- Location options include:
