Job Summary
Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Management Specialist to support the
administration and optimization of their Autodesk Vault system and related CAD tools. This role is pivotal in ensuring the integrity, accessibility, and efficiency of engineering data and workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the Autodesk Vault database team and Civil 3D subject matter experts.
- Administer and maintain the Autodesk Vault system, including user accounts, roles, permissions, and data security protocols.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Vault-related issues, including file check-in/check-out errors and version conflicts.
- Design, implement, and manage workflow processes and lifecycle strategies for CAD data management within Vault.
- Support seamless integration between AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Vault to enhance project delivery and team collaboration.
- Collaborate with engineering, CAD, and IT teams to define and apply best practices for data version control, storage, and access.
- Assist with Vault software upgrades, patches, and testing.
- Provide user onboarding, training, and ongoing support related to Vault use, workflows, and standards.
- Document procedures, troubleshooting steps, and common issues.
- Participate in team and project meetings to provide system support and updates.
Qualifications
Required:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Autodesk Vault and AutoCAD in an engineering or technical environment.
- Strong knowledge of engineering data management principles, version control practices, and CAD file structures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing tasks independently.
- Proactive problem-solver with the ability to work cross-functionally across teams.
Preferred:
- - Experience with Civil 3D is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Windows Server environments and SQL databases is a plus.
