The Help Desk Analyst provides technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer hardware, software, and network. Answers help desk phone and email requests, responding in a timely and appropriate manner. Installs and/or implements new IT solutions or computer hardware and software. Uninstalls outdated computer hardware and software, or updates software as needed. Contributes to departmental training with other staff and Supervisor.

Is able to effectively solve customer IT needs, record events/problems as well as their resolution in a ticketing system and perform other duties as assigned.

• Monitoring help desk phones, e-mails and other electronic problem reporting mechanisms.
• Makes sure they are responding appropriately in a precise and timely manner.
• Provides computer hardware, software, and network problem resolutions.
• Implements and installs new computer solutions, and contributes to logistical solutions for unit needs.
• Utilizes Problem Management database to register problems and record most effective solutions.

Associate's degree in Information Systems or a related field and two (2) years of related experience required. Work experience may substitute for education requirement.
