This individual will plan, develop, and implement the EDI operations and strategy roadmap for the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES: EDI SPECIALIST
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, such as business units, IT departments, vendors, and trading partners.
- Negotiate and support contracts and service level agreements with EDI service providers and vendors.
- Oversee the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of EDI systems, applications, and integrations.
- Monitor and evaluate EDI system performance, availability, security, and compliance; initiate corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure EDI systems adhere to industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Resolve complex EDI issues and provide technical support and guidance to users.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews of EDI systems and processes; recommend improvements and enhancements.
- Prepare and present reports on EDI system status, metrics, and outcomes.
- Partner with distribution leadership to develop and maximize cross-dock EDI solutions.
- Maintain ASN compliance with vendors.
- Stay updated on the latest EDI trends, technologies, and innovations; evaluate their applicability for the organization.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: EDI SPECIALIST
- 6+ years of experience in EDI systems development, implementation, and management.
- Extensive knowledge of EDI standards, formats, protocols, and technologies such as ANSI X12, EDIFACT, XML, AS2, FTP, VAN communication protocols.
- Experience with AS400 / iSeries and RPG development and data files.
- Knowledge of Open Text, Trusted Link, and Biz Manager.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: EDI SPECIALIST
- Experience with JDA MMS is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to adapt to changing business needs and technologies.
