Asset Data Analyst

Position Overview We are seeking an entry-level Asset Data Analyst to support enterprise asset data management and digital twin initiatives. This role will focus on reviewing, validating, organizing, tagging, and maintaining utility asset information to improve data quality, consistency, and accessibility across business systems. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable working with large datasets and visual asset information, and interested in data analytics, business processes, digital transformation, and emerging technologies.

This individual will play a key role in supporting a large-scale asset digitization effort by validating and tagging asset data derived from field scans, imagery, video walkthroughs, and enterprise systems. The work performed will directly support reporting, analytics, operational initiatives, digital twin development, and future AI-driven capabilities.

Responsibilities Review, validate, update, and maintain asset-related information within enterprise applications.

Process and maintain large volumes of asset data while ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Perform asset tagging and data validation activities using scanned asset information, imagery, and video walkthroughs.

Capture, validate, and associate equipment nameplate information with corresponding asset records.

Identify and resolve data discrepancies, inconsistencies, and missing information.

Perform data quality checks and support ongoing data cleansing initiatives.

Assist with standardizing asset records, naming conventions, metadata, and digital asset classifications.

Support digital twin initiatives by organizing and maintaining asset metadata and related documentation.

Work through high-volume asset tagging backlogs while maintaining quality and productivity standards.

Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, verify, and document data requirements.

Support asset management, reporting, analytics, and infrastructure digitization initiatives through accurate data maintenance.

Develop and maintain spreadsheets, reports, dashboards, and data tracking tools.

Track asset tagging progress and provide status reporting on completed work, backlog volume, and data quality metrics.

Assist in preparing structured datasets that may support future machine learning and AI model development efforts.

Collaborate with engineering, operations, GIS, and technology teams on asset modernization and digital transformation initiatives.

Document processes and provide recommendations for improving data quality, efficiency, and scalability.

Participate in cross-functional projects related to data management, digital twin programs, and enterprise modernization efforts.

Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business, Mathematics, Engineering, GIS, Computer Science, or a related field.
0–2 years of experience in data analysis, data management, reporting, GIS, asset management, or a related discipline.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including sorting, filtering, lookups, and data analysis.

Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to review and interpret data from multiple sources, including spreadsheets, images, videos, and enterprise applications.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Databricks, or other reporting and analytics tools.

Exposure to data governance, data quality, metadata management, or master data management concepts.
