Pro Assurance specializes in healthcare professional liability, products liability for medical technology and life sciences, legal professional liability, and workers' compensation insurance. We are an industry-leading specialty insurer, with job opportunities in much of the contiguous United States. This position supports our medical professional liability line of business and is hybrid, based in Greenwood IN, Okemos MI or Birmingham AL office locations.
The Underwriting Technician will:
- Assist and support underwriters in providing exceptional customer service to policyholders, agents/producers, and internal customers.
- Handle policy processing for new business, renewals, and ongoing account maintenance under general supervision.
- Demonstrate strong analytical and interpersonal skills along with outstanding customer service skills.

What we're looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, or eight years’ relevant experience.
- Previous insurance experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.
- Attention to detail, ability to work independently, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (formulas, pivot tables).
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment and take initiative.
