Join Gallagher Bassett as a Workers Compensation Claims Trainee - Southeast. This entry‑level role is part of the Emerging Talent INVEST Program (ETIP) – a 9‑month paid, fully remote learning track designed for recent college graduates.
Base Pay Range$45,000.00/yr – $72,000.00/yr
OverviewThe ETIP – Guardian Pathway is a 9‑month paid, fully remote learning experience that gives recent graduates real‑world exposure, personalized coaching, and a clear, long‑term career path in claims resolution management and beyond.
ResponsibilitiesOver the course of the 9‑month program, you will:
- Participate in structured learning modules, virtual classroom sessions, job shadowing, and mentorship.
- Shadow claims experts and observe best practices in managing lost time workers’ compensation claims.
- Practice in a simulated “sandbox” environment to apply concepts before handling actual cases.
- Support claims management by taking ownership of an evolving portfolio of indemnity claims under close supervision.
- Analyze medical documentation, regulatory guidelines, state‑specific regulations, and supplemental case materials to determine claim strategy and financial exposure.
- Engage in professional communication with clients and stakeholders, providing support and empathy to injured employees.
- Build and adjust reserves for claims by analyzing claim details, medical data, and potential outcomes.
Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution preferred; other candidates with proven experience will be considered.
