The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of projects through planning, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closing, ensuring delivery on schedule, within budget, and to customer expectations. The role serves as the primary customer interface for coordination and enhancement of client relations.
Responsibilities- Review contract scope, terms, and conditions prior to execution of contract documents and project implementation
- Manage customer expectations and relationships
- Ensure safe delivery of project deliverables to meet customer and budget requirements while maintaining high quality standards
- Handle contract administration, including invoicing, cost forecasting, cashflow, schedule management, and quality assurance documentation
- Plan and schedule work activities with Revere personnel, subcontractors, and customers
- Identify and manage risk and change management areas
- Report project performance, areas of concern, risks, and contractual issues to division and corporate management
- Deliver engineering and project coordination, write engineering specifications, establish design methods, prepare and coordinate equipment sizing and selection with customers
- Drive project profitability and customer satisfaction through quality work and on‑time/on‑budget delivery
- Develop and manage response plans for emergencies such as control system failures or natural disasters
- Evaluate employee performance, match abilities to job requirements, and capitalize on talents to meet business objectives; ensure communication of business initiatives and progress to employees
- Develop and manage overall project schedule and budget
- Create schedule of values and project plans
- Coordinate project tasks and resources with Engineering Group Managers and other Project Managers to ensure a team environment
- Maintain safety measures and procedures during project execution
- Manage overall change management process, including change order estimates, proposals, and negotiations with the customer
- Communicate plan and related project status reports to key stakeholders and management, including risks and mitigation strategies
- Identify and assign responsibilities to project team members and monitor progress of work activities, including hours, costs, and deliverables
- Minimize project rework and promote greater project success
- Monitor and summarize project progress to customers and company management
- Update project forecasts monthly
- Ensure timely invoicing and collection of receivables
- Provide input for performance evaluation of engineering resources for related project activities
- Mentor engineering team members
- Identify new business opportunities and refer to sales department
- Assist sales department in the quotation process
- Maintain good relationships with customers, consultant engineers, vendors, and employees
- Perform other job‑related duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering or equivalent related project management experience
- Extensive knowledge of engineering, construction, design, finance, and management
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in project engineering or project management
- Five to seven (5‑7) years of progressive lead and/or supervisory experience in the industry’s control systems environment
- Ability to monitor work performance and task implementation of resources assigned to projects
- Ability to oversee all project phases—planning, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closing—to quality standards
- Ability to manage customer expectations and relationships
- PMP certification (highly desirable)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Project engineering experience desirable
- Paid Time Off & holidays: up to 120 hours of PTO in the first year plus 8 paid holidays.
