Come join United Way of Central Alabama as the Program Director for the Staff Sgt. Fox Suicide Prevention Program. You'll lead a caring team, build strong community partnerships, and help connect Veterans with life-changing resources.

Oversee day-to-day operations of program serving Veterans and military families to include developing partner networks, program compliance, site operations, staffing and budgeting.

• Oversee a team of staff providing prevention case management services and provide effective supervision and management of team.
• Serve as primary liaison with the local Veterans Administration, and Homeless Continuums of Care throughout service area representing SSG Fox program.
• Develop and maintain collaborative partnerships with federal, state, and community-based organizations that promote effective services to Veterans aiding in suicide prevention.
• Increase awareness and capacity of program as a resource for Veterans and military families and manage outreach plan.
• Ensure compliance of Program Guide, Federal standards, and funding sources to meet grant outcomes.
• Coordinate Continuous Quality Improvement Plan.
• Other duties as assigned.

Masters degree in Social Work, Counseling or related field; licensed preferred

Minimum five years of relevant professional work experience including program management, supervision, and case management; mental Health and crisis intervention experience preferred

Military experience preferred

Excellent computer skills to include Microsoft Office suite and Client Management System

Experience with federal, state and local veteran and military family programs preferred

Normal office environment with occasional after-hours/weekend work

Must meet and maintain eligibility requirements to be insured by UWCA's insurance

Valid Alabama driver's license, reliable transportation and proof of automobile insurance commensurate with State law. Background checks to include but not limited to criminal record, and drug screening.
