Warehouse Associate I – Birmingham, AL at Priority Wire & Cable
Compensation: $18 per hour + Signing Bonus.
Shift
Schedule:
2nd Shift, Monday – Friday 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM.
- Work at a fast pace and be flexible to work overtime as needed.
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job due to its in‑person work requirement.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work, whether that be public transportation or a personal vehicle.
- Operate cutting equipment to process wire and cable orders for shipping.
- Use RF scanners, iPads, and handheld devices to sort, scan, and prepare orders for shipping.
- Assist customers with local will‑call orders.
- Build, wrap, sort, and transport reels, pallets, and packages.
- Ship and receive truck deliveries.
- Lift up to 80 lbs.
- Stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts.
- Use sit‑down forklifts, dollies, and other equipment to move product within the facility.
- Be detail‑oriented, able to multi‑task, and have strong attention to detail.

- Activity – Some tasks require standing and cutting wire in one place for long periods, pushing heavy reels, and getting dirty while working.
- Temperature – Non‑climate‑controlled warehouse environment; temperatures can reach up to 90°F on hot days.
- Noise Level – Work can get noisy; hearing protective gear is provided if needed.
- Dress code – Relaxed with safety feetwear required; safety shoes voucher up to $125 annually.
- Candidates must be 18 years or older and able to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines.
- Previous Wire & Cable experience is a plus.
