Tarpon Specialty Services is expanding in Birmingham, AL and seeking skilled RMD Pipe Welders to join our high-performance fabrication team of specialists. You’ll work on industrial and modular projects where precision, safety, and weld quality come first.
Responsibilities- Execute RMD root passes and Flux‑Cored fill/cap welds on pipe
- Interpret blueprints and WPS accurately
- Inspect welds for conformance and maintain records
- Support continuous improvement and team safety culture
- Proven RMD & FCAW pipe welding experience
- 5G/6G proficiency a plus
- Must pass weld test (RMD + FCAW)
- Dependable, detail‑oriented, and team‑minded
- Full‑time / Travel / Per Diem
- Shop / Field
- Industrial Fabrication / Power Generation
- Welding / Construction
