Job Responsibilities- Troubleshoot systems and perform preventive and predictive maintenance on equipment, prioritizing safety.
- Support production and execute tasks assigned by maintenance supervisors and team leaders.
- Support safety, quality, and productivity while adhering to plant standards and the Magna Employee’s Charter.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and suggest improvements to minimize downtime of manufacturing equipment in the assembly area.
- Assist in installation and modification of equipment to meet quality control and process enhancement goals.
- Diagnose and repair manufacturing equipment, including robots, PLCs, controls, electrical systems, etc.
- Maintain safety devices like light curtains, safety gates, and barriers.
- Disassemble and replace defective parts, including electrical, mechanical, pneumatic components.
- Use systems to analyze failures and implement measures to prevent recurrence.
- Perform PM inspections and complete repairs as required.
- Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Basic understanding of drafting and blueprint reading.
- Basic knowledge of AUTOCAD.
- Ability to read schematics.
- High School Diploma or GED required; a 2-year technical degree or 3+ years of on-the-job training in heavy industrial manufacturing preferred.
- Journeyman Certification is preferred.
Minimum of 4 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing preferred.
