Job Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot systems and perform preventive and predictive maintenance on equipment, prioritizing safety.
  • Support production and execute tasks assigned by maintenance supervisors and team leaders.
  • Support safety, quality, and productivity while adhering to plant standards and the Magna Employee’s Charter.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and suggest improvements to minimize downtime of manufacturing equipment in the assembly area.
  • Assist in installation and modification of equipment to meet quality control and process enhancement goals.
Essential Functions
  • Diagnose and repair manufacturing equipment, including robots, PLCs, controls, electrical systems, etc.
  • Maintain safety devices like light curtains, safety gates, and barriers.
  • Disassemble and replace defective parts, including electrical, mechanical, pneumatic components.
  • Use systems to analyze failures and implement measures to prevent recurrence.
  • Perform PM inspections and complete repairs as required.
Position Requirements
  • Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Basic understanding of drafting and blueprint reading.
  • Basic knowledge of AUTOCAD.
  • Ability to read schematics.
Education
  • High School Diploma or GED required; a 2-year technical degree or 3+ years of on-the-job training in heavy industrial manufacturing preferred.
  • Journeyman Certification is preferred.
Work Experience

Minimum of 4 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing preferred.
