Machine Operator - Screenprint Press Operator - 2nd Shift

Overview

ALG Label and Graphics is seeking to hire a Screen Printing Press Operator with knowledge and experience in the screen printing process for 2nd shift. This position is full-time with full company benefits. Experience in apparel screen printing, with multi-color and/or automatic press or other printing processes, will be considered in lieu of flatbed and cylinder printing press experience.

The screen-printing Operator is responsible for setting up and operating a screen printing press. Production requirements include producing products that meet our quality standards using inspection systems and or quality processes. Candidate must possess the ability to maintain quality production, inspection, and packaging of products produced.

• Operate production equipment safely and efficiently, producing quality products.
• Inspect product produced to job specifications and quality standards.
• Receive production order and job assignments from supervisor or lead.
• Obtain needed supplies to produce jobs.
• Read, review, and understand job tickets and proofs.
• Complete production records as required by company guidelines.
• Perform preventative maintenance on assigned equipment.
• Ensure cleanliness of work area.
• Project positive and professional behavior/attitude.
• Follow administrative procedures established for inter/intradepartmental interaction.
• Additional tasks/duties/special projects may be assigned, as necessary.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• A minimum of 1 year of printing experience is required (screen printing preferred).
• Proficient computer skills required.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Good color perception.
• Detail oriented.
• Works well with hands, with good fine-motor skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Work independently with little supervision.
• Able to make good decisions when problems present themselves.
• Multi-task – ability to handle multiple tasks in fast-paced environment.
