Brake Press Operator – Manufacturing Division

Temp to Hire

Pay Range: $18–$22/hr

• Operate Press Machinery: Run electrically powered industrial machines to create, shape, and customize metal materials.
• Quality Assurance: Perform inspections on finished pieces to ensure quality and conformity, correcting inconsistencies as needed.
• Reporting & Communication: Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to your supervisor.
• Workplace Safety: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area by following prescribed safety regulations.
• Preventative Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance on machines to keep our production running smoothly.

  Skills:
  
  Exemplary motor skills are essential—quickly and efficiently adjust multiple levers and settings on brake press machines.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong analytical and mathematical skills to interpret drawings, templates, and blueprints accurately.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to read gauges, tape measures, and other measurement tools.
• Experience: Prior manufacturing experience in a press environment is a plus.

• Be prepared to work in a dynamic setting with exposure to odors, noise, dust, heat, cold, and moving mechanical parts.
• The noise level can get loud—but with the vibrant energy of a real production floor!

• Enjoy an active role that requires frequent standing, walking, bending, and kneeling.
• Regularly lift and move items over 25 pounds.
• Use specific vision abilities, including close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
