Position Summary:The Print Machine Operator is responsible for operating, maintaining, and performing routine adjustments on high-speed printing and finishing equipment. This role includes handling tasks related to printing, binding, collating, duplicating, and finishing printed materials, both manually and using automated machines. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining quality standards in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities:Operate and maintain high-speed printing, duplicating, and binding machines.
Perform tasks such as collating, binding, stapling, cutting, and padding printed materials.
Fold, trim, and prepare paper according to production specifications.
Make precision adjustments to printing and finishing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Set type and prepare machines for various printing jobs.
Conduct routine cleaning and preventive maintenance of machines.
Assist with hand-collation tasks and manually handle printing jobs as needed.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace and comply with safety and quality standards.
Assist with additional duties as required in the printing and production area.
1–3 years of experience operating printing or related production equipment preferred.
Mechanical aptitude and the ability to make fine precision adjustments.
Familiarity with common printing and finishing equipment (collators, cutters, binders, etc.).
Ability to lift and handle materials, stand for extended periods, and work in a production environment.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
