*** We’re looking for a creative, energetic Marketing & Promotions Intern who loves
** coming up with big ideas, thinking on their feet, and having FUN!
** This is a hands-on opportunity to help bring the Birmingham Barons’ brand to life at Regions Field through unique theme nights, engaging social media content, in-game contests, stadium décor, and exciting fan experiences. Working alongside our Creative Services Coordinator and Marketing & Promotions Coordinator, you’ll help brainstorm new promotions, turn creative ideas into reality, plan in-game entertainment, and make every game feel like something special.

From dreaming up the next big theme night to helping decorate the ballpark and create content fans want to share, no two days will look the same. The ideal candidate is creative, resourceful, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where ideas move quickly and teamwork is everything.

*** General Responsibilities
***** Social Media & Content Creation
*** Capture and create engaging photo and video content for the Barons’ social media channels, both on game days and throughout the offseason.
* Create, write, and schedule social media posts, including game-day graphics, score updates, final scores, promotional announcements, and fan engagement content.
* Write clear, engaging copy for social media, emails, promotions, and other marketing materials, adapting tone and messaging to fit the audience and platform.
* Assist with graphic design, video editing, and other creative projects that support the Barons’ brand and marketing campaigns.
* Identify opportunities for timely, fun, and creative content that connects with fans and highlights the team, players, promotions, and community.
** Promotions & In-Game Entertainment
*** Help brainstorm, plan, and execute theme nights, promotional events, giveaways, and unique fan experiences.
* Assist with in-game entertainment, including between-inning contests, on-field promotions, fan participation, mascot appearances, and other game-day activities.
* Recruit fans for contests and promotions, coordinate props and costumes, and help ensure each activity runs smoothly and on schedule.
* Help develop new ideas for in-game entertainment, fan engagement, and ways to make each homestand feel unique.
* Assist with stadium décor, promotional displays, and game-day setup, including tarp pulls when needed.
** Entertainment & Event Coordination
*** Coordinate and communicate with live music performers, national anthem singers, ceremonial first-pitch participants, and other game-day entertainment.
* Assist with booking performers, collecting promotional materials, communicating event details, and managing schedules and logistics.
* Support theme-night planning from brainstorming and preparation through game-day execution.
* Assist with community appearances, outside events, and other promotional activities throughout the Birmingham area.
** General Marketing & Game-Day Support
*** Work collaboratively with the marketing, promotions, ticketing, and other departments to execute campaigns and events.
