Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Step Down unit position in Alabama requiring a compact or AL RN license and recent specialty experience.

• Work in the Step Down unit of a hospital setting
• Day shift from 06:30 to 19:00
• Caring for patients requiring step down-level care
• 13-week contract assignment
• No local travelers accepted within a 50-mile radius
• Must submit RTO (requested time off) requests for less than 1 week
• Returning travelers are subject to rehire rules specific to previous employment at CHS facilities
• First time travelers are welcome to apply

• Active AL or compact RN license required
• At least 1 year of recent step down nursing experience
• No certifications may expire within the first 30 days of the assignment
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• Cannot have been a permanent staff member at any CHS facility within the past 2 years
