SummaryThe Advanced Practice Provider is an advanced practice registered nurse with education, training, certification and licensure to provide the medical, psychiatric, behavioral and mental-health care in a variety of treatment settings. The APP will assess, diagnose and treat pediatric patients with behavioral health diagnoses. This individual works in collaboration with the collaborating physician, Division Medical Director, staff physicians, the Division Director of Nursing, staff nurses and other team members.
Credentialswith Equivalent Qualifications
- Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner ABON
- Basic Life Support
- Registered Nurse AL Single State or any of the following equivalent qualifications below:
- Registered Nurse AL NLC Multi State
- Registered Nurse Non-AL NLC Multi State
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support
- Masters of Science Nursing in Nursing
The Nursing Advanced Practice Providers (APP) department comprises highly trained nurse practitioners and physician assistants who provide expert, autonomous, and collaborative care throughout nearly all divisions of the health system. APPs serve a critical role in patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management, delivering quality healthcare by working closely with physicians, specialists, and multidisciplinary teams. Their responsibilities extend from direct patient care and health promotion to leading quality improvement initiatives and contributing to clinical education.
By integrating advanced clinical knowledge with compassionate care, the APP department enhances patient outcomes, improves access to services, and supports the health system’s commitment to delivering comprehensive, high-quality care across diverse clinical settings.
