• Coordinate surgical services activities and tasks in support of patient care for the vascular neuro. Includes maintenance of surgeon preference cards, intradepartmental coordination, management of vendor relationships, and other associated duties. Consults in a variety of patient care situations requiring advanced competency and knowledge.
• Serve as a technical or functional resource for staff and perform similar patient care duties. Assign, monitor, and review progress of work. Monitor and report compliance with policies and procedures.
• Coordinate shift operations including scheduling, assigned activities, and resources to ensure optimal workflow for the service line.
• Evaluate and oversee orientation and training of assigned associates. May provide input in review and evaluation of staff performance and interview process. Participate in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services for the service line, in collaboration with other members of the management team.
• Oversee utilization and maintenance of supplies, instruments, and equipment.

• Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing.

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing and required professional licensure at time of hire.
• Minimum 2 years of related experience required; 3 years of related experience preferred.

Knowledge of service line. Ability to multitask and coordinate with multiple disciplines.
