Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a SICU ICU position requiring AL or compact RN license, night shifts, and every other weekend coverage.
Responsibilities- Work in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) in a hospital setting
- Patient population includes stroke, complex post-op surgical cases, respiratory distress, and COVID
- Nurse to patient ratio is 2:1
- Handles special procedures such as external ventricular drain (EVD)
- Uses Cerner for electronic charting
- Night shift (12 hours), with every other weekend required
- Float to other critical care areas as needed based on skillset
- Responsibilities include providing intensive care to post-op and neuro patients
- Support from a critical care team environment
- No on-call requirements
- Scrub color not specified
- Special precautions and protocols followed for COVID
- Active AL or compact RN license
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- ICU experience required
- Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
