ResponsibilitiesTo provide daily supervision and coordination of the Inpatient Wound Care Team. To lead and manage department staff including performance management, scheduling, interviewing and hiring recommendations, orientation and education of staff. To be responsible for an assigned caseload and to assist as necessary with coverage of other assignments. To review data trends and develops and monitors process improvement activities.
QualificationsBachelor s degree in Nursing and five (5) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing required. Credentialed as a Wound, Ostomy and Continence (WOC) Nurse by the Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nursing Certification Board (WOCNCB) within one (1) year of date of hire required.
Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required or should be obtained within 30 days of employment. Depending on the unit/department, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification and/or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) may be required.
