Crew Worker

Hiring Range: $15.44-$17.04 per hour. Beginning salary may be adjusted based on experience.

• High School Diploma or GED
• Experience maintaining and repairing roadways, storm water systems, right‑of‑way assets, and athletic fields
• Proficient operation of light equipment (chainsaw, weed‑eater, hedge trimmer, mowers)
• Experience working with concrete or masonry

Provide maintenance and repairs of City streets and roadways, including preparing road surfaces for patching or overlay, paving, and roadway repair. Maintain City sewers by flushing as needed. Remove debris, signs, and trash from roadways, land, and public areas and dispose of material safely. Cut weeds and brush; mow lawns and weeds with hand tools or operating a power push mower or hand mowers.

Trim, edge, and weed around sidewalks, buildings, and other fixtures. Rake and clean grounds. Trim trees or shrubbery; plant grass or shrubs. Work on recreation fields, including lining ball fields. Install and repair playground equipment; maintain facilities. Apply fertilizers, insecticides, and weed killers. Construct, maintain, and repair jogging tracks, bridges, fences, and ball fields. Maintain and install water lines, lights, concession stands, sprinkler systems, bleachers, signs, and playground equipment.

Provide routine maintenance of parks, lakes, playgrounds, athletic fields, tennis courts, picnic areas, and related facilities. Assist in landscaping parks, including grading, sodding, and planting trees and shrubs. Operate light‑duty automotive equipment, backhoe, and dump truck on assigned projects. Perform related work as assigned.
