Landscape Specialist

Ruppert Landscape is a privately held commercial landscape maintenance and construction company based in Laytonsville, MD. We are hiring for a Landscape Specialist to join our team.

Birmingham, AL

Salary Range: $50-60k, depending on experience

• Maintain all landscaped areas, hardscapes, and plantings to keep the property in excellent condition year-round.
• Perform daily gardening tasks including weeding, pruning, watering, mulching, and debris removal.
• Monitor plant health, soil conditions, and irrigation systems; make minor adjustments or repairs as needed.
• Follow a consistent schedule of seasonal landscape maintenance activities.
• Communicate regularly with property management and the Ruppert team to provide updates and ensure quality.
• Operate tools and equipment safely while maintaining a clean, professional appearance on-site.

• Strong horticulture knowledge and 2+ years of professional landscaping or gardening experience.
• Working knowledge of irrigation systems and basic repairs.
• Trustworthy, self-sufficient, and task-driven with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Comfortable using email and basic computer tools.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Must be able to read and speak English fluently.
• Valid driver’s license required.
