Angel Tree Worker - Galleria Mall; Weekday

ALM-Birmingham AL Area Command - Birmingham, AL, Salary Range: $10.00, Available for Galleria Mall

Monday-Friday 11AM to 7PM

• Provides support for the seasonal Angel Tree program
• lifts, carries, loads and unloads a variety of Christmas gift donations
• serves as an attendant at Angel Tree sites
• interacts with donors and responds to questions regarding the donation process
• assists with the cleanup, lay out, and set up of the warehouse
• assists with pick up from the malls or corporations.
• Performs data entry of recipient information.
• This is a Christmas seasonal position Nov-Dec.

• Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with co-workers.
• Knowledge of The Salvation Army Christmas Angel Tree Program.
• Ability to follow instructions with limited supervision.
• Ability to relate to the general public in a polite, friendly manner.
• Ability to abide by the required dress code.

• High School Diploma of G.E.D. preferred but not required.

• Ability to meet attendance requirements.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.
• Limited amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting and carrying light objects (less than 25 lbs.) 5-10% of work time.
• Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, and some climbing.
• Ability to stand in one location for extended periods.
• Work requires working in a warehouse environment with exposure to fluctuating temperatures and discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
