Ascentium Direct Sales Account Manager – Regions Bank, Birmingham, Alabama.

Job Overview

Ascentium Capital, a division of Regions Bank, provides financing for business equipment and technology to clients ranging from small organizations to Fortune 500 companies. The Direct Sales Account Manager develops new business, maintains client relationships, and negotiates financing solutions based on the client’s needs.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Identify and pursue new leads, prospects, or clients through cold calling, referrals, and other means to meet production goals.
  • Conduct phone meetings to discuss products, present proposals, and demonstrate how offerings address client needs.
  • Communicate product, service, and policy information to new and existing clients.
  • Negotiate terms and agreements to close sales and secure deals.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of company products and stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions.
  • Ensure all required client paperwork is complete, accurate, and submitted on time.
  • Deliver exceptional customer experience and meet monthly quota goals.
  • Develop new business and nurture existing relationships, preparing customized solutions and quotes when appropriate.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Maintain an average of $300,000 in monthly production.
Preferences
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • One year of commercial, small business, equipment financing, or related inside sales experience.
  • Demonstrated results meeting production sales goals.
  • Experience using CRM platforms and other sales tools.
Skills and Competencies
  • Ability to manage multiple evolving priorities.
  • Quick learning of additional systems.
  • Strong research, data analysis, and fact‑derived decision making.
  • Development of negotiation and consultative sales skills.
  • Relationship‑building and effective presentation to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills.
  • Strong work ethic and self‑motivation.
Compensation

Base salary with variable incentive plan. Total compensation potential ranges from $40,000 to $150,000+ annually.
