Armed Security Officer - Part Time Weekends

We are looking for an Armed Security Officer – Part Time Weekends in Birmingham, AL to monitor and patrol utility locations. This role supports a range of client industries and provides an opportunity for flexible scheduling.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour

Job Schedule: Sat 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM;
Sun 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, using de‑escalation techniques as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and critical areas within the location.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and any unusual occurrences.
• Collaborate with site personnel and local law enforcement as needed.
• Perform access control duties, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering restricted areas.
• Remain alert and attentive, ready to respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or requests for assistance.

• Valid driver's license in the state where the job is located.
• Valid concealed carry weapons permit.
• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Armed guard card or license.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation and drug screening as required by law.
• Participation in industry-specific security training programs.
