Perform tasks involving physical labor at construction sites. Must have experience operating heavy equipment such as asphalt paver, asphalt screed, asphalt roller, base roller, milling machine operator, ground milling machine operator, backhoe, etc. Asphalt equipment experience is preferred. May operate hand or power tools (shovels, lutes, surveying and measuring equipment, and a variety of other equipment and instruments). Tasks include spreading asphalt, gravel and other materials, lifting and carrying supplies, cleaning tools and work sites, assisting traffic control and other craft workers, and performing any other duties as necessary.
Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions.

- Operation Monitoring – Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to ensure a machine is working properly.
- Manual Dexterity – Quickly moving hand(s) and arm(s) to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
- Multi‑limbed Coordination – Coordinating two or more limbs while standing and in motion.
- Arm‑Hand Steadiness – Keeping hand and arm steady while moving or holding them in one position.
- Static Strength – Exercising maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects.
- Oral Comprehension – Understanding information presented orally.
- Physical Demands – Standing 10‑12 hours, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, lifting up to 100 lbs. Regularly works around moving traffic and mechanical parts in extreme weather conditions.
- Work Environment – Frequent exposure to outside weather, airborne particles, vibration, loud noise.
Asphalt equipment experience preferred.
