45-55 hours per week, with occasional Saturdays as needed

Salary: $25-28 per hour (DOE)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Structural Welder to join our team in Birmingham. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience in welding, cutting, and fabricating metal structures according to blueprints and technical specifications. You will work with a variety of metals and welding techniques to ensure high‑quality results in compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Weld, cut, and fabricate metal structures and components based on blueprints and specifications.
  • Utilize MIG, TIG, and Stick welding techniques on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
  • Inspect materials and completed welds to meet quality standards and safety regulations.
  • Read and interpret detailed technical drawings and schematics.
  • Perform welding tasks in various environments, including construction sites and workshops.
  • Maintain welding equipment and tools in proper working condition.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and team members to meet project deadlines.
  • Ensure all work follows safety guidelines and company procedures.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Structural Welder with a portfolio of completed projects.
  • Welding certification (AWS, ASME, or equivalent) preferred.
  • Proficient in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high‑quality workmanship.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments, including extreme weather conditions.
  • Must have OSHA 10 certification.
  • Strong safety awareness and adherence to safety protocols.
