WhatYou’ll Do
- Safety: Take an active role in prioritizing safety for yourself and others throughout the operation in accordance with MSHA and Vulcan standards.
- Inspect and Diagnose: Inspect and diagnose repair and maintenance of mobile and plant equipment.
- Plan Jobs: Plan, organize, weld, fit, and layout construction and repair jobs from blueprints. Fabricate structural components according to company standards. Fit and weld according to blueprints.
- Welding: Stick and Dual Shield welding. Weld materials in flat, vertical, and overhead positions. Cut materials using air arcs, burning rods, and acetylene/oxygen cutting torches to fit fabrication and job requirements. Perform welding repair and maintenance to production-related equipment, machinery, and structures such as conveyors, crushers, elevators, drives, and screws.

Activities:
Perform activities that require moving your body and using your arms and legs (climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, handling materials). Must be able to work at elevated heights. - Problem Solving: Able to problem solve and make independent decisions regarding weld draws while fabricating and addressing other issues.
- Travel: In-state travel is required occasionally.
- Leadership: Provide leadership and coaching to other team members.
- Experience: 15 years of fabrication experience. Must have welding experience. Must be able to perform brazing, welding, arc welding, and cutting tasks.
- Functional Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of fitting, welding, and fabrication finishing accuracy.
Flexibility: Willing to work overtime and extended hours depending on customer and company demands. Able to work outside in all weather and tolerate loud noises.
