Tru Builders is a reputable construction and remodeling company based in Alabama with over 20 years of experience in residential and commercial building. The company has completed more than 350 full home renovations and countless custom kitchen and bathroom remodels.

This is a contract-based handyman role with Tru Builders, offering a hybrid work option based in Birmingham, Alabama, with some flexibility for remote work. The handyman will be responsible for a variety of repair and renovation tasks, including basic carpentry, repairs, painting, and general maintenance. Tasks may also include assembling and installing fixtures, diagnosing and fixing minor electrical or plumbing issues, and maintaining tools and equipment in proper working conditions.

Excellent attention to detail and the ability to provide high-quality work are essential for succeeding in this role.

• Proficiency in basic carpentry, painting, and general home repair
• Skills in electrical work and basic plumbing
• Experience with the use of power tools, hand tools, and building equipment
• Problem-solving abilities and troubleshooting expertise for various maintenance repairs
• Excellent time management and ability to work independently
• Good communication skills and ability to interact professionally with clients
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Previous experience in building, construction, or handyman work is preferred
