• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and structural issues on‑site.
• Work with a team to make mechanical and structural repairs to woodyard cranes.
• Report findings of repairs to customers via an exit meeting and written reports, communicating defects and severity professionally and providing recommendations.
• Document findings and recommend corrective actions, including safety notifications to customers.
• Produce electronic documentation of inspections using company tools. Basic computer and Microsoft Word skills required.
• Stay updated on industry codes and regulations (OSHA, ANSI, CMAA, HMI).
• Maintain company‑issued equipment, vehicles, and assets in proper working order, reporting deficiencies.
• Follow established safety rules and procedures, including customer guidelines.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

Education: High School Diploma required. Associate degree in Industrial Electrical and/or Mechanical Technology or related field preferred or equivalent vocational/technical training and experience.

Experience: Minimum two (2) years involving mechanical and/or structural repairs. Prior experience with cranes is a plus. Rigging and/or welding experience is required.

Other Requirements: Must have and maintain a good driving record, including a valid driver’s license, be willing to work off the ground, and work varied overtime as needed.

Must be willing to travel 100% through the Southeast, occasionally to the Pacific Northwest and Maine, with up to two weeks at a time.

Salary: $22–$48 an hour, determined by skills, location, experience, and certifications.

Company Vehicle: Work truck and gas card for business purposes. Candidates must pass an MVR check.

Vacation: 2 weeks per year pro‑rated for first year; 3 weeks for 5–12 years of service; 4 weeks for 13+ years. Sick leave: 5 days per year, prorated after 90 days.
