The Lead Installer is a full-time, on-site role based in Birmingham, AL, responsible for overseeing and performing the installation of HVAC systems, including air conditioners, furnaces, heaters, and heat pumps. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing job specifications, assessing site conditions, coordinating installation plans, and ensuring systems are installed according to manufacturer guidelines and local codes. The Lead Installer will supervise and mentor installation team members, verify proper system startup and operation, and complete necessary documentation such as installation reports and customer sign-offs.

This role also involves communicating with customers about system operation and basic maintenance, collaborating with office staff to schedule jobs, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. The Lead Installer is expected to troubleshoot installation issues, uphold quality standards, and represent the company professionally on every job site.

• Ability to lead HVAC installation projects, including planning, delegating tasks, and supervising installation crews.
• Hands-on experience installing residential and/or light commercial HVAC systems (air conditioners, furnaces, heaters, heat pumps).
• Strong technical skills in reading blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer specifications.
• Solid understanding of local mechanical codes, safety standards, and best practices in HVAC installation.
• Competence in using hand and power tools, testing equipment, and measuring devices required for HVAC work.
• Effective communication skills to interact with customers, explain system operation, and address basic questions or concerns.
• Ability to train, coach, and support junior installers while maintaining a collaborative team environment.
• Good organizational skills for managing multiple jobs, completing documentation, and maintaining clean, safe job sites.
• Physical capability to lift equipment, work in tight spaces, and perform tasks in varying indoor and outdoor conditions.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation to job sites.
• EPA certification and relevant HVAC certifications or licenses in Alabama are strongly preferred.
• Previous experience as a Lead Installer, Senior Installer, or equivalent HVAC role is
