Role OverviewThe Community Development Associate is an entry‑level position responsible for increasing branch membership through outreach activities, building new relationships, and maintaining existing connections. The CDA leads member‑oriented meetings, manages loan disbursements, repayments, and verifications, and maintains accurate data records.
Primary Responsibilities Outreach & Recruitment- Spread awareness of GAI’s lending program through community outreach activities and organizing to attract new members.
- Grow member base to reach designated growth targets.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all member searches and recruiting activities.
- Follow all company standards for recruitment activities.
- Set and manage member expectations regarding program participation.
- Build meaningful relationships with members.
- Provide quality customer service support to ensure member satisfaction.
- Facilitate regular group meetings (virtually and in person) with high engagement behaviors.
- Manage effective communication with members via phone, text, email, and in‑person engagement.
- Provide trainings on business and professional development topics.
- Resolve member concerns, issues, and questions in a timely and professional manner.
- Monitor members’ loan amounts and related activities, including compliance, disbursements, collections, and reconciliation.
- Maintain accurate transaction records within member center and branch.
- Accurately input and track member loan payments and other relevant data in appropriate systems.
- Collect and recover all due loan repayments, working with members to address financial challenges.
- Proficiency in English required.
- Excellent customer service skills with strong written and communication skills.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, punctuality, discipline, and attention to detail.
- Basic logical reasoning and numeric skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Openness to receiving constructive feedback.
- Flexible schedule to accommodate member availability, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends.
- High School diploma or equivalency preferred; two years of relevant work experience required.
- Two years of customer service experience.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel is a plus.
- Knowledge and heavy usage of computer, laptop, iPad, smartphone, and other electronic devices.
- Valid driver’s license may be required depending on location.
