Backend Java Developer and UI Developer | Birmingham, AL

We are seeking two Senior Java Developers, one for backend and one for UI development. The ideal candidates will complete a coding challenge and be available for a face-to-face interview in Birmingham.

Job Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in Java Application Development (Java/J2EE/EJB)
• Degree in computer science, software engineering or related discipline (preferred)
• Proficient in SQL Database Development (also DB2)
• Comprehensive SDLC experience (requirements, architecture, design, testing and deployment)
• Knowledge of common OO Design patterns and front controller pattern
• Experience with Web Service Development (XML/SOAP/REST) and Object Oriented Analysis & Design (OOAD)
• Knowledge of Cobol / CICS (a plus, especially for migrating legacy code to Java and native stored procedures)

Responsibilities:

• Develop applications using the JAVA framework with Sencha (Ext & Sencha Touch) front-end technologies
• Contribute to Mobile Application Development
• Utilize open source frameworks such as Jquery, require
  
  JS, and EXT
• Participate in Open Source Projects
• Work on Agile teams using Scrum
• Demonstrate advanced knowledge and experience with DB2 & Web Sphere application server
